- High speed shots until 2000m/s from the cannon muzzle depending on the projectile weight.
- Since the 1st of March 2010, The National Proof House of Saint-Etienne has been accredited by the COFRAC laboratories section in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standard and Cofrac rules of application under n°1-2211 for ballistic test activities of protective materials and equipment.




• Proof of portable fire guns according to C.I.P. international standards until .50 calibre.
• Checking, homologation and inspection of the laboratories involved in the production of ammunitions.
• Neutralization of weapons until 25mm calibre and systems of
embarked weapons.



MATERIAL RESISTANCE TESTING LABORATORY
The National Proof House of Saint-Etienne, thanks to its experience in the weapons field, has developed a test laboratory for the ballistic resistance of materials.
This laboratory features some of the most advanced equipment and its 4 shooting ranges (15m and 30m) make the establishment a top-rate experimental and certification ballistic centre of new protective products.
The ammunitions range is from .22LR to 20x139mm calibre including many other simulating fragments (STANAG from1,102g to 20mmFSP), knives or spikes and others on request.

Our reputation enables us to work with large private firms as well as State institutions.
Tests are carried out on: steel and aluminium armour, composite structures, personal protective equipment (bullet proof vests, additional plates, helmets, face shields, protection eyewear, shields), glass and ceramics in accordance with French, European and International standards or particular specifications.
