Created in January 2004, EURENCO (European Energetics Corporation)
is jointly owned by SNPE Matériaux Energétiques (60.2%), Saab
(19.9%) and Patria (19.9%).
MAIN PRODUCTS
Sole European company offering the largest range of cutting-edge
energetic materials for both defense and commercial markets,
EURENCO is involved in further new international programs in
partnershipwith its customers. Its business activities are splitwithin the
following two business units:
PROPELLANTS AND PROPELLING CHARGES BUSINESS UNIT
• Artillery modular charges for 155mm L39 to L52 artillery guns.
• Single and multi base propellants, spherical powders
(manufactured by the Belgian subsidiary PB Clermont) for
military small,mediumand large caliber ammunition in addition
to reloading powders for civil cartridges and ignition powders
for medium and large caliber ammunition.
• Combustible items for artillery, tank and mortar ammunition:
- Combustible cartridge cases,
- Combustible felted long cartridge cases,
- Combustible modular cases,
-Mortar horseshoe containers (Nitrofilm, felted NC containers).
• Nitrocellulose.
• Double base premix paste for multi base propellants and rocket
motor propellant grains.
EXPLOSIVE CHARGES AND ADDITIVES BUSINESSS UNIT
• Cast PBX charges for InsensitiveMunitions such as artillery, tank
and mortar shells, navy shells, missile warheads,
shaped charges, general purpose and penetrator bombs,
underwater mines, torpedoes, etc.
• High explosives and compositions for melt-cast and pressed
explosive charges for ammunition, pyrotechnics, primers, plastic
explosives, etc.
• New energetic molecules.
• Innovative products based on cast PBX technology for Special
Forces’ applications (demolition, breaching, cutting works).
• Base bleed grains for artillery shells.
• Add-on protection kits for light and heavy armored vehicles.
• Pyrotechnics (Bofors BEPAB Swedish subsidiary) for civil and
