Naval systems SAAM and PAAMS
Naval air defence systems for self-protection (SAAM) ; defence of naval
task forces and convoys (PAAMS)
These surface-to-air systems have allweather,multi-engagement and
omnidirectional capabilities, in severe ECM environment. They ensure
air coverage against the most modern aircraft and missiles.
Composition of the land system
The truck-mounted SAMP/T is composed of :
• A Fire Control Unit, with the ARABEL multifonctions radar and an
Engagement Module.
• 4 to 6 vertical launch modules for the ASTER 30 missiles (8 per
launcher)
