The building-up of Gilep was inspired twenty five years ago by the
French Military. The aim was to have a technically and commercially
reliable cluster of contractors, the logistics of POL being of paramount
importance to armed forces that are required to have the capability of
being projected with short or no notice almost anywhere in theworld,
and sustaining several weeks of activity on their own.

Gilep is a syndicate of independant companies, providing between
themthewhole range of equipment needed in the field of POL logistics
and related activities. Member Companies's reputation of reliability
and product's quality is renowned among military procurement
agencies in NATO countries and beyond.



The members' products can be listed under five rubrics

1. Tanck Trucks
complete transportation systems from light 10 cm all-terrain 4x4
tactical trucks to 36 cm semitrailers, with or without metered
distribution ; airport fuellers of all types

2. Storage Equipment
complete infrastructure fuel farms on Air Force bases ; flexible tanks,
from 1 cm to 600 cm, such as ground-fixed bladders , towable
drums, heliportable pouches.

3. Servicing Units and Components
pumps, hoses, metering devices, filters, couplings ; autonomous
servicing units, fromsmall, easily air-transportable skids, to sturdy,
high flowrate, distribution devices, to containerised service-stations
for one or two products, with a10 to 20 cmtank.

4. General logistics and environment products
logistics of storage and delivery, and all materiel assorted to the
operational equipment mentioned above : air-land-sea bulk
transportation ; shelters for all use, hauling vehicles, antipollution
devices including floating booms, fire-fighting vehicles and
materiel.

5. High Tech fluids
high-tech hydraulics and lubricants for all applications, including
fighter aicraft servicing ; NATO-grade paints and coatings.
