This year, once again, the French land defence and security industry isstrongly represented at the 10th edition of the IDEX exhibition. With almost 60 companies represented, including the major French prime contractors and the most innovative SMEs, industry is clearly underlining its strong interest in the strategic partnership between France and the United Arab Emirates.
It is an opportunity for industry to present an updated range of land equipment covering every aspect of close combat – including infantry, mobility and fire support, air-mobile combat, and battlefield digitisation – and featuring the latest developments in robotics and simulation.This equipment reflects the in-depth operational experience of the French Army in off shore operations, which are now caracterised by more intense combat action, duration of engagement and complexity of the land environment.
In view of these challenges, permanent adaptability is a key condition for the security and success of armed forces in the field. This necessity is reflected in the introduction of new equipment and systems which mark a new technological era in the defence and security sector and which you will find on display for the first time at this exhibition.
