GICAT > GICAT presentation > Organisation
GICAT is a 1901 Law association. In line with its statutes, its members “jointly and permanently share their knowledge or activities with an objective other than to share profits”

BOARD

The association is run by a board comprising of:

  • active members with a turnover of more than 150 million Euros in the Land and Air land equipment sector
  • active members elected by the General Assembly

The Board includes between 16 and a maximum of 21 member companies. They propose board members who elect their Chairman. The Executive Board is put together by the Chairman of GICAT and guarantees ongoing industrial representation on behalf of the Board.

Operationally, GICAT’s General Delegation is divided into sections and projects on specific areas which have been approved by the Board and are each section’s Chairman’s responsability. The Chairman of a section is elected by GICAT’s Board. He is seconded by an operational director, who is a permanent member of GICAT’s General Delegation (DG).

The DG carries out the decisions taken and voted by the Board and ensures that GICAT is permanently represented regarding its external correspondents and members.

Furthermore, on 9 November 1995, GICAT formed a subsidiary, COGES, EURL, with a capital of 1 million Euros capital, which is responsible for:

  • organising exhibitions and shows in France and abroad on Land and Air land armament equipment, in particular, the international EUROSATORY show,
  • participating in promoting operations abroad for Land and Air Land Defence equipment.

  • Partnership with the Land Army and Customer Services,
  • Communications,
