In the context of his visits to its SME members, our responsible of economic studies, Mr. Jérémy Vigna, went to MASA headquarters in Paris, on the 18th of September.
He was received by the President of MASA, Mr. Patrick SAMAMA and his military advisor General (2S) Bruno Roodenbeke.
The meeting between Mr. Vigna and General (2S) Roodenbeke revolved around a presentation of MASA and its activities and around a discussion on the positioning of MASA in the sectors of land defense and security.
Created from a laboratory at the Ecole Normale Superieure in 1998, MASA company designs and develops simulation software for defense and global security that rely on unique Adaptive Intelligence integrating modeling behavior humans.
The software developed by MASA can immerse makers in a environment quasi-real, where the actors and the population are modeled with artificial intelligence and react independently and realistic about the events, interacting with the script or the reactions of the other actors. They are used for training of staffs of armed forces or the cell crises.
Today, MASA is considered the French company's most advanced in research on adaptive intelligence.
The Army and the DGA trust him for simulation and training commands. MASA, in cooperation with Thales Communications, has developed SCIPIO (arms combat simulation for interactive preparation of operations) which is the tool used by the Army for training brigade command posts and state-Force Headquarters. This system reproduces realistic operational environment of the PC, avoiding the deployment of field units, as would occur in a exercise.
Finally, she was chosen by :
- Technico Laboratory Operations (LTO) of the DGA to provide its software Sword constructive simulation;
- The French High Committee for Civil Defence (HCFDC) and the Directorate of Information Major Risks of the Community of Agglomeration of Le Havre (DIRM / CODAH) to animate exercises of preparation for crisis management.
