Fire support

Fire support

The past ten years have highlighted the growing importance of the artillery in conducting successful external operations around the world. No air-land operations can now be envisaged without fire support, which has become essential to the lower tactical levels.

Artillery capacities, both technical and tactical, has seen considerable progress in recent years: good strategic mobility, precision-guided munitions, a reduced logistics footprint and dynamic management of the air-land space.

At the same time, the different functional components of the artillery are under constant evolution, such as:

  • Target acquisition
  • Munitions
  • Ground-to-ground launchers
  • Multiple launch rocket systems
