Presentation

CEFA in an independent family-owned company specialized in land systems for military engineers. Engineering and manufacturing of military bridging systems and mine clearance systems are the main activities.

CEFA is a French company located in Soultz-sous-Forêts, 45 km N-W of Strasbourg city. Being located in the heart of Europe on the  River Rhine is an industrial and logistics asset.

Civilian industrial equipment manufacturing is also a part of the business.

Main activities

Since 1959 CEFA’s main activity has been military engineering Equipment for many countries.

CEFA is a prime contractor recognized by the French Ministry of Defense for the design, development and manufacturing of bridging systems such as the Gillois ferry, the bridge span layer (PAA) and the amphibious bridging system (EFA). The EFA, exported to the United Arab Emirates in 2008, confirmed the international status of CEFA.

The “Vedette F2” military bridging boat delivered to the French Army in 2014 is a consistent and efficient support to any bridging operation.

CEFA has designed, developped

CEFA’s know-how has been a great asset in developing our mechanical demining system. The mine clearance system (SDZ), designed and developed by CEFA, will be delivered to the French Army in 2017. This remote-controlled system is mainly dedicated to the clearance of mines but it can also perform many other operations with a wide range of special tools.

CEFA is committed to providing long-term industrial support to ensure its Equipment is constantly available to the armed forces.

In the area of safety, CEFA offers its trash bin SECURICORB for the protection of people against bombs in urban areas during terror attacks.

Produits et services

Heavy amphibious bridging and ferry system

The EFA is a unique concept ; it was specially designed to meet the need to support forward combat units within highintensity operational environments :

. wet or dry gap crossing,

. transhipment,

. civil defense operations.

Vedette F2

The Vedette F2 is designed to provide help for crossing operations with great versatility.

Power, reliability, extreme mobility and safety are the main assets of the Vedette F2.

SDZ (Mechanical zone clearance system)

Remotely operated, it is a powerful, tracked, medium category Unmanned Ground Vehicle which is flexible enough to undertake heavy engineering tasks as well as demining using multiple tools.

Anti-bomb trash bin

The SECURICORB anti-bomb trash bin is a solution  for the protection of people in very busy public places. It is designed to withstand the explosion of 500g of plastic explosives.

Operational service

CEFA is commited to providing long-term industrial support to ensure its equipment is constantly available to the armed forces. A responsive professionnal service is the added value that CEFA brings to the partnership with end user.
