To support its members in their development, GICAT offers many services ranging from access to strategic information to export support, communication and public affairs.

Access to strategic information

In a hyperconnected world where information of all kinds circulates without borders and without filters, it seems essential that companies have access to this strategic data, especially internationally.

In this context, GICAT provides its members with numerous services to anticipate needs, access new markets and protect know-how.

Technology watch on trade shows

GICAT/COGES conducts a technology watch on the main land and airland defence and security trade shows (AUSA, DSEI, Eurosatory, IDEF, IDEX, Indodéfense, MSPO, etc.) for the benefit of its members, by listing the equipment exhibited and informing them of the release of new summary documents.

Monitoring of tenders

GICAT provides its members with a mutualized commercial watch on the following sectors: Military Land Vehicles, Air and Ground (UAVs, Helicopters, Missiles), C4ISR-Optronics, Logistic Support and Homeland Security (Crowd Management, Site Protection, Emergency Situations). Standardization coordination

GICAT coordinates current normative issues to help companies compete through good practices that respect human rights and environmental requirements.

Thematic studies

Each year, GICAT carries out 4 thematic studies on the land and airland-land defence and/or security markets for the benefit of its members. The objective is to enable GICAT members to understand the major equipment trends and potential opportunities offered by these markets.

Working groups and commissions

Within the framework of its commissions, GICAT proposes presentations by external speakers (French Army, DGA, Ministry of the Interior, private operators, export advisors, etc.) in order to enrich the work carried out within the framework of working groups. Export support

Exports allow industries to compensate for the constraints on national defence budgets. In the production phase, they allow to amortize investments by extending the series. In addition, they encourage the financing of certain programs by the export customer.

In this context, to help its members develop internationally, GICAT offers a number of “Export Support” services.

Exhibitions with GICAT presence

Through its subsidiary COGES, GICAT organizes and federates French Pavilions at numerous Defence and Security trade shows abroad. Under a common tricolor banner, the industrialists present can benefit from services provided by our group: cocktails, BtoB meetings, press relations, visibility, etc.).

Country files

The country file provides a summary of the geopolitical situation, bilateral defence relations, the situation and needs of armed forces and security forces, the state of the defence industry and a description of the equipment acquisition procedures of a given country.

Communication and public affairs

One of GICAT’s missions is to promote the know-how and image of the land defence and security industry. To do so, the group deploys an influential communication strategy and provides services to its members to optimize and develop their visibility.

Daily press review

Réalisée chaque jour, cette revue de presse permet de synthétiser et d’être au fait de l’actualité des secteurs Défense et Sécurité des dernières 24 heures. Vecteur de communication au service de ses membres, la revue de presse responsive design permet également de valoriser certaines de leurs actions. Les archives sont consultables dans la zone membre du site internet.

Visibility and support

GICAT provides its members with technical assistance and its network so that they can optimize their communication. The communication supports used by the Group, printed (brochures, etc.) or digital (website, mobile application, etc.), are tools allowing to increase the visibility and the notoriety of its members.

Visits and press trips

Every two years, before the Eurosatory exhibition, GICAT organizes two press trips, each bringing together some twenty French and foreign journalists to meet operational and industrial people working in land and air defence and security.
